Salem Christian Family Church was founded in 1985 under the leadership of Pastor Charles Agano Muga.
The church was founded by 3 Christian believers worshiping under a tree in Shauriyako slum in Homa Bay town in Nyanza province in the western part of the Country of Kenya. Kenya is in the eastern part of the continent of Africa. The mother church has grown to a current church membership of 623 believers with 8 other planted churches across the western part of Kenya.

The church is committed in the gospel of Jesus Christ through outreach ministries, where we target unreached villages and slums with the gospel of Jesus Christ to harvest souls for Christ.
We also target to raise 100 Pastors to help in our vision of reaching out for 350,000 souls in the country of Kenya alone and we target beyond.

We are focused and committed in supporting the needy souls who are victims of hunger, famine, diseases e.g. HIV/aids, Vulnerability and natural disasters that fall in our line of work while sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.
